1948 Indian Chief very unique and rare in Tolar, TX

This motorcycle was re-painted circa 1960. This black paint on the fenders and tanks is verified over 50 years old. THIS IS NOT A NEW PAINT JOB MEANT TO SIMULATE ORIGINAL PATINA! This motorcycle was repainted "in the day". It was in harsh semi out door storage for 44 years. Most of the chrome and cadmium plated parts are rusted and blistered. The rims, spokes, handlebars and crash bars are ugly but structurally sound. The tires are junk but hold air. This motorcycle starts and runs great!
